I welcome you from the picturesque Polish seaside resort, Sopot, where the 11th edition of the literary festival is now underway. This year's edition is dedicated to Irish literature. On Saturday, attendees had the opportunity to engage with Irish writers, including Lucy Caldwell. They could also tune in to an interview with Polish writer and journalist Agata Passent, who is the daughter of Agnieszka Osiecka. Passent shared insights about her mother's latest publication, "Czekając na człowieka" [Waiting For a Human Being]. Additionally, participants could enjoy an intriguing discussion among translators of English (Małgorzta Semil), French (Barbara Grzegorzewska), and Russian literature (Agnieszka Lubomira Piotrowska). The translators shed light on the differences between translating dramas and prose.
