While exploring the city, I unexpectedly encountered a piece by Polish sculptor Igor Mitoraj titled "The Fallen Angel." Positioned in the historic section of Pisa on the Piazza dei Miracoli, behind the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the grassy area, this sculpture, like many others by the artist, exudes the essence of an ancient heroic figure. It aims to represent the delicate nature of human existence and the subtle boundary separating life and death.
