This also signifies that the 2022/2023 school year is coming to an end, and it's time to summarize. The best summary of what we accomplished throughout the year with Year 8 is this map. On it, the children marked the most significant places and artifacts of Polish culture that they learned about this year. These are as follows:
✅ Examples of monuments and landmarks listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, such as the Teutonic Castle in Malbork and the Renaissance Old Town of Zamość, serving as an example of a citta ideale.
✅ The figure of Nicolaus Copernicus from Toruń.
✅ Pomerania and Masuria as examples of Polish cultural and historical regions.
✅ Our majestic port city, Gdańsk.
✅ Warsaw and the legend of the Warsaw Mermaid.
✅ Gniezno and the legend of Lech, Czech, and Rus.
Additionally, the boys created an alternative map of Poland, on which they placed the names of the most important football clubs in Poland from their perspective. What a superb idea! 😁
